Middle School Night Owl Camp—Week 9

The week of Middle School Night Owl is off to a wonderful start with great campers and awesome counselors! We have a mascot, Alexander the Owl, that likes to "hide" from our campers so the family groups can race to be the one to find him throughout the day. They are enjoying sleeping a little bit later, but their daylight hours still offer plenty of time to do all of the typical camp activities.

The 9:00 pm "breakfast" cookouts over the fire are a hit and they are very creative in their cooking techniques. We saw 4 family groups cook biscuits and gravy in 4 different ways. Each meal they cook is enjoyed by the campers under the stars!

Night games of course are a highlight and so far we have played a game of giant clue, glow stick pictionary, and joined the senior high night owl for a version of capture the flag. Tonight we are going to have a night pool olympics! Prayers that it is warm enough for all to enjoy the water and games. Never thought we would say that in the middle of July!

Thanks for sharing your kids with us this week. It has been a great time learning about the Wonder of God and how we belong through our vespers (evening worship) and morning watch every day. God is working and your children can't wait to share lots of little stories with you on Friday!

Love in Christ,
